Elkhart Child Development Center (ECDC), which was started in 1969, is a not-for-profit, community-based organization that provides early childhood education to children.
Our Mission: Our mission is to provide high-quality childcare and educational services to children of lower income families in Elkhart County, which includes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of the child, while strengthening the family unit.
Our Philosophy: CHILDREN NEED a safe, secure and happy environment. Elkhart Child Development Center (ECDC) provides a place where parents can entrust their preschooler during working hours or the hours they are in school and studying. The staff at ECDC is always in partnership with parents. They want to provide children with the nurturing and love that they receive from home while providing them with the early learning experiences that encourage all aspects of a children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth.
