We operate year round and the daily program is organized with development of the children in mind. Teacher’s plan, create, and follow a lesson plan weekly based on the HighScope curriculum. Small muscle experiences are frequently interspersed with activities that aid the development of large muscle skills. A nutritious, well-balanced breakfast, lunch and two snacks are provided daily (through the CACFP program). The day includes small group and large group times, stories, music and movement, planning time, work time and time to recall what happened throughout the day. Nap time follows their lunch, which is followed by a repeat of some of the same developmental activities they experienced in the mornings, with some changes. The children also enjoy our large playground where they can climb on the climbing units, play in the sand boxes, play with balls and ride tricycles which are provided for them, along with traditional child’s play and games. The children also enjoy going on walking field trips to area playgrounds.
